Hip Hop Occupies is open-participation on all levels. We are looking for individuals, crews, labels, collectives, and organizations locally, regionally, nationally, and globally, to participate in shaping the vision of Hip Hop Occupies.
1) We are continually growing our network, and looking for individuals on the group of Occupy Actions to represent on behalf of Hip Hop Occupies in your cities. We need partner bloggers for our Frontline Feed, as well as anyone willing to be a point person for Hip Hop Occupies in their region. Please email HipHopOccupies@gmail.com, and specify "Point Person" or "Frontline Feed" in the subject line.
2) We have partnered with Hip Hop Congress and RDV promo to organize several volumes of Mixtapes for the Occupy Movement nationally, internationally, and locally. We have no limit to the amount of Volumes we can create or the areas we can represent, and we want music from famous, mainstream, indy, local, and unknown artists alike. The goal is to educate the general public, young people, hip hop/music fans and people in the struggle, as well as create various soundtracks to the movement and the serious times we are facing as a planet. Although we are happy to have artists CREATE NEW SONGS we are MOVING FAST so we prefer songs that are already done, so we can get them to the people ASAP. Our mixtapes will be distributed free through the Hip Hop Occupies Bandcamp with the hopes of reaching millions, becoming viral online and unifying leaders and people fighting for freedom on all fronts. We are also are looking into raising funds through physical CDs that can be sold for donations. To contribute your music to the mixtape, email HipHopOccupiesMixtape@Gmail.com.
3) We also have a Hip Hop Occupies Soundcloud that is currently hosting music and soundbites recorded on the ground from Occupy Actions. We are open to ideas on how to utilize this more, perhaps through sample competitions for producers, etc. Anyone interested in taking on or contributing to this project please email HipHopOccupies@gmail.com and specify "SoundCloud" in your email subject line.
4) We need help with the creation, collection, editing, and posting of content for the Hip Hop Occupies Youtube Channel. Anyone interested in taking this on, please email HipHopOccupies@gmail.com and specify "Youtube" in the subject line.
5) We need media partners online, internet and terrestrial radio, print, etc., to help distribute content from our various channels as well as help get the word out on regional Occupy updates and specific Hip Hop Occupies Call to Action.
